In 2017, it was restructured and formed through the merger of the Tianjin Chemical Industry Design Institute and the Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group Planning & Design Institute.As a subsidiary of Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Bohai Engineering is a national high-tech enterprise integrating capabilities in engineering design, technological R&D, and EPC(Engineering, Procurement, and Construction). It is also recognized as a Tianjin Technology Leadership Cultivation Enterprise and operates as theTianjin Engineering Research Center for n-Butane-Based Maleic Anhydride Production Technology. Additionally, it serves as the Technical Service Center of Bohai Group Research Institute and is the publisher of the provincial academic journal Tianjin Chemical Industry.
